The International Maritime Organization (IMO) now recognizes that a safe ship is one free from bullying, harassment, and discrimination.

The Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) module is no longer just about basic shipboard safety. It now includes a critical new competence: Prevention and Response to Violence and Harassment.
This training is now a mandatory update for:
- New Recruits: Who must understand the code of conduct before boarding.
- Active Seafarers: Specifically those who trained in 2021/2022 and are due for revalidation.
- Officers & Management: Who are responsible for maintaining a healthy shipboard culture.
